Otra vez... Duettos de ocasión

CD

At present, occasional encounters between artists of dissimilar tendencies are taking place with increasing force. Once again, the EGREM is committed to these duets that enrich the originals, and provide new opportunities for songs that were successful in the past. This is how works of different genres were chosen, in new arrangements where some are even taken to another dimension, as is the case of "Bendito tiempo", which appears in salsa time, and the theme of the troubadour Raúl Torres, originally a son performed by guitar or small-format group, can be heard from the sound of a dance orchestra. The versions of "Esa familia a mí no me conviene" stand out, where Osdalgia's histrionics seals the new appearance of the song in the Cuban discography, and is also enjoyed in a nice video clip that accompanies the CD. Another novelty is the song "Taurema", also known as "I'm already getting old", by Tío Tom, where Manolito Simonet's piano joins, Adonis Panter's percussion, Osain del Monte and the lead voice of that grouping the excellent Rubén Bulnes. The already anthological "Calle enramada", unbeatable in the voice of Tiburón Morales, premiered by Son 14, is assumed here in the voices of Ricardo Amaray and Yumurí; and Haila joins the Septeto Santiaguero to sing for the recently deceased Dominican singer and composer Víctor Víctor.
